46 Hood vs 1948 Hood Ornament
 

I have 2 1946 Hood Ornaments that do not fit to the contour of my 46 Wagon. There is a gap under the tail (between the wing and tail bolt)
Question #1: Are the 46 and early 47 hoods the same as the late 47 and 48 Hoods???
Question #2: Would a 46 hood Ornament have the same contour as a 48 Ornament???
