Re: after market king pins I welded mine up about 25 years ago for my 1929 Standard Coupe, then I had them turned down to what they were originally...no problems as of yet.

Re: after market king pins Do a search on "Bent Front Axle", or "Straightening Front Axle" and you should come up with a thread where Kevin shows 4 pins stuck in the front axle to check for bending.

Re: after market king pins Another easy quick check is that if you have everything off your axle it should lay flat on a flat surface. Its not uncommon for them to be bent from the spring perch outward. Mine was - some time with a 20 ton press fixed it and now my car drives beautifully and tracks straight with no wobble.

Re: after market king pins thanks guy's, I made pipes to fit ( turned in lathe) the king pin holes...then smaller ones for the spring perches...then set everything up on flat surface...I have 7.5 inclination and both pipes are parallel...layed flat on flat surface there is no rocking..I think axel is good...Dick
