mac's radiator

I posted this on the T forum but thought some of you guys might chime in.

Finally going to bite the bullet and get a new radiator for the 1917 t. It's not a show truck so Im going with the flat tube radiator that Mac's sells. Has anyone had any experience with them? Why is their price almost 150 dollars cheaper than the other suppliers ($650). Not complaining ! Just wondering.

I bought a MAC's rad a few years ago because it was cheap. Like Mitch said, you get what you pay for. My rad has never performed correctly. It leaked right out of the box and has had to have a lot of work done on it to keep it going. It would have been far cheaper to buy the best rad (Bergs) rather than the junk that I did buy. BTW, I do have problems keeping the temp down on my engine.

I think you should consider Brassworks, They have outstanding quality, made in the USA and work great http://www.thebrassworks.net/shop/index.php?cPath=11_38

Buy the bergs radiator. I have gotten three off of him and they are excellent and he is a super nice guy and will stand behind what he sells.

Berg is the way to go, Brassworks has had mixed reviews here in Fordbarn and the only thing "bad" about a Bergs radiator was the cosmetic looks of a water outlet on an everyday driver radiator.

Berg's. I have 2 and both are good products.

I got a Berg's radiator last year and I am very happy with it.

Any time a part is advertised for much less than what seems normal, I tend to want to know the reason. This applies to used parts as well as new.
On the other hand though Mac's once had a part in their catalog for almost three times as much as the other vendors who stocked the very same part.
My last purchase from Mac's didn't go well, partly my fault, but in the end I realized that they didn't care if I purchased any parts from them or not. So I haven't.
