Saw this thing on " Yesterdays Tractors " listed as " poor mans tractor " . Want's $1,000 in MN . Description states rebuilt Ford flathead 4 and 2 transmissions so has lots of speeds . No clue how neat these are anymore but I think you A-bone folks can figure that part out .

Yup, I have had a few if these. My best one had two trannys and a two speed rear. 34 forward gears and 8 reverse!

I have one now (a 30) with 2 trannys (one is an old Chevy), a Model TT rear end and she runs great, will pull up the side of a mountain with chains on the rear truck wheels.

Just had to sell my due to a cross-country move :( But I plan on getting one as soon as we settle down! Mine had a 2-speed hi-lo box behind the 3-speed, and a truck rear-end with big v-tread tractor tires. Fun!!

Has anyone seen the (Yankee) Doodle tractor that was built from plans in the Popular Mechanics Press from 1939 then again 1941 ? A tricycle type tractor from AA truck parts. I have one and would like to see someone else's if there are any out there. Thanx Phil.

dad used to talk about the doodle bug he'd say put both transmissions in reverse and it would just crawl forward gobs and gobs of torque.

Precisely! When they are both in Reverse that is exactly what they do.
