Award Winning Magazine sample to consider joining MARC
 

For those of you that might not fully understand some of the advantages of belonging to a national club like the Model A Restorers Club, I make the following offer for the first (15) people:

If you will PM me with your name and mailing address, I will get one back issue of the MODEL A NEWS (MARC office choice) sent to that address for your consideration in joining MARC. It will be accompanied with an application for membership.

Helen Ehrenhofer, the Model A News editor has received the 'Golden Quill Award' for outstanding magazine editing for seven straight years. This magazine is beautifully done and contains great technical articles, magnificent photos and ads for many of the Model A suppliers. many of the technical article are written my those that post on this site.

Upon receipt of the magazine, I would hope you will post your thoughts on not only the magazine, but your interest in joining us here at MARC as well.

This is a great idea. A 'Free Trial'. I look forward to every copy. It is one of the few magazine that I keep in a binder.
However I may add that the magazine is just a small benefit of joining. The local meets, gives you friends and you can network i.e. who has a proper spring spreader, then the regional meets where you can compare notes and ideas. I have never been to a national, but I hear they are great also.
It is really a bargain for what you get in return.

The magazine is worthe the yearly fee. I can't get too excited about "national" events when the closest one is 2,500 miles away, most more than that. That being said, I look forward to the magazines I get from MARC, MAFCA, AACA, & John LaVoy.

Hey guys, thanks for the great input. I turned in (19) names in less than (24) hours. I really appreciate your interest and the willingness to consider joining the MARC organization. This magazine alone is worth the admission.

While we would be all too happy to have that happen, getting a sponsoring club would probably be a little tricky. There is no formal MARC club here, and the MAFCA club is very loosely knit. There are a couple of fairly strong AACA clubs here, but the Model A's are the "red-headed step child" in them.
