dumb '31 question. Does the body have to come off to remove running board splash aprons?

Re: dumb '31 question. i just loosen the body bolts to lift up each side a couple inches for access. i usually do one side at a time... its not a big deal

Re: dumb '31 question. NO not at all....All you have to do is remove the front, the A pillar and rear body bolts. stick a 2x4 or such under it and you can remove the RBoards...Good luck..

Re: dumb '31 question. Thanks guys. Bolts are at cowl, A-pillar, and rear, then? I suppose I'll need to take loose the steering column drop, too. What else needs to be unhooked/disconnected?Car is Late '31 coupe.

Re: dumb '31 question. You also need to pull the distributor to prevent stretching the armored ignition cable. I forgot and it broke the terminal box.

Re: dumb '31 question. Just wanted to says thanks to racer32 for bringing the topic up, and also to those who responded.
I had the exact same question, just remiss in asking. I would gather anything from the firewall to the engine would need to be disconnected, Correct? |
