Clear film to protect paint I'm looking for a clear film we can put on our 28 aa open truck. We have different drivers and they drag their feel getting in and out scratching the paint. Is there a pre cut film that will fit this running board area or can you give me advice on what to buy Thanks Billy

Re: Clear film to protect paint most auto window tinting places can professionally install a clear film. i had it done on the frt painted bumper on my truck. you cannot even see it, the bugs wipe right off and no stone chips. wiil also protect against scuffs

Re: Clear film to protect paint Check out your local hobby shop. There's a thin, super tough iron-on plastic film called "Monokote" that is used for model airplanes. They make it in all sorts of colors, and even in clear. It comes in iron-on and a self-adhesive varieties. The iron-on is by far the superior product. Not only does an iron (or heat gun) make it stick, but it also shrinks it to take out wrinkles and bubbles, and help it form around curves.
If you don't have a hobby shop nearby, you can buy it online or on ebay. Search for Top Flite Monokote clear. |
Re: Clear film to protect paint Go to an auto paint supply store and get clear bra. It's like what people put on the front of their car to protect it from rock chips and you can barely tell it's there.
