Cowl Lights..

Is there a site or book specifically for installing cowl lights. I want to know what parts are needed and in what order they are to be installed. I was given the cowl lights and want to use them as turn signals. I could use the extra load to speed up the flasher...as I am using resistors for a load right now just to get the flasher working. Thanks in advance.

a couple things you will need. snyder lists a cowl lamp marking tool # A13300-X and the wood spacers that go between the panel and the inside brace # A 13318. The hole position is critical because the light arm has a foot that fits over the cowl band. I drilled the final hole a little smaller and dremelled it to fit. I also put an oring on the shaft just in case it leaked when it rained or I washed the car.
