Crematory insulation for floorboards
 

Hi Guys and Gals. Please excuse the delay in getting back to everyone. There was a thread several weeks back about the heat that develops under the floorboards. Something I have used with great success is a ceramic paper. It is about 1/4" thick. I stapled it to the underside of both the floor boards and toe boards and painted the stuff with flat black paint. This stuff is used for refractory rebuilds on crematories and other industrial furnaces. I was finally able to contact a source here in Seattle. The lady there is sending me all the particulars and specs on this material so I will report it in the next few days. The potential downside is pricing and it probably comes in rolls and not cut yardage. Stay tuned...............TB;)

Sounds like this has become a hot topic, but personally I don't see what everyone is getting all heated up about.
