Mystery Fender 5 Attachment(s)
Hi. Anyone have any info on these pics? My Dad has decided to clean out his garage. Several fenders have been up in the rafters since back in the 60's, not sure what this is.

Looks like it might be a '35-'36 FORD fender. If it is, it could be pretty valuable. Don't give it away. It looks like it might be NOS. There are some sharks, out here, who will try to get it for nothing. MIKE :) |
Re: Mystery Fender Best estimate is a 1938 Standard Sedan. The twist of the mounting flange at the rear is the indicator.

Re: Mystery Fender Karl is probably the best fender identifier there is since he and his dad made fenders for Fords for years.
|
Re: Mystery Fender Probably right but I don't think he knows stakebed fenders as on another fender post.

Re: Mystery Fender Thanks for the responses. I am learning and will continue to search for any info I can find. Everyone's help is appreciated. If it would help, I can take any measurements or more pictures at different angles that might help someone narrow it down a bit.

Re: Mystery Fender It is not a wagon or stakebed fender for sure

Re: Mystery Fender There is a possibility that this fender could be 1940-1941 Ford Sedan Delivery. The view that I would need to see is from the back as it would be mounted on the vehicle. One feature of a 40-41 Sedan Delivery fender is the bolt on flange has some unique indentions to the Delivery between the mounting bolt holes. These indentions are at a right angle to the long indentions between the holes for the bolts. They look as if you took your index finger and made a depression in the metal at a right angle to the long indentions between bolt holes. They are found at the top arch of the fender. I have only seen these markings on Sedan Delivery 40-41 rear fenders. Or it could be for the 1938 Standard car, which will also physically fit the Convertible Sedan body but would need taillight mounting area.
