Re: Need some help here

Hello, for number one, I am very satisfied with the shocks that we had rebuilt by Bill Wzorek, a long-time forum member. Get in touch with him. Just use the search in the red bar above and search on his name.

For number two, I can't help other than to say put an advert in the swap meet section.

Good luck, -VT/JeffH

M&S Hydraulics did a pair for me with two week turn around. Am very pleased with their service. Here is their website...

Bill also did a pair for me...three month turn around time.

Re: Need some help here

Need to withdraw my recommendation for M & S Hydraulics. Went to go use the pair of 33 shocks that they did for me and discovered they had rebuilt one improperly leaving a collar that goes around the main shaft protruding about 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch so that the shock won't sit flat to the frame. They were difficult to reach on the phone and said they would fix it. After three months and several unanswered phone calls later they sent it back in the same condition all they did was paint it. No note in the box. Maybe they were hoping I wouldn't notice. Ugh!

Re: Need some help here

I would never deal with M&S again. Before I began using Bill Wzorek to rebuild my shocks, I sent a complete set of original '35 shocks to M&S for rebuild. They talked me into using a set of their repro shocks and suggested that they would just trash my old original cores. Long story short, the repros they sent me went bad in no time and most of the fluid in them leaked out. The cores are not even rebuildable, so I wound up with nothing. I even suspect that M&S may have used my original cores to build shocks for another customer building a high point show car.
Since then, Bill W. has rebuilt several complete sets of original '35 shocks for me and all is well with those.

Re: Need some help here

I too wanted to use a fordbarn member and did try Bill. Glad those listed here had a good experience with him but my experience was not good. He would not return my PMs yet he was logging in here everyday. I was within hours of filing a police report when he finally sent a message saying they would be shipped. As a business owner myself it disgusts me when other service providers fail to communicate with their customers and do what they say they are going to do. I will switch to tube shocks before I use Bill or M&S again.
