1930 pickup top material

Mornin guys. Im going to be using spun nylon vs cotton for my padding under my roof material. Has anyone done this, and what mill should I buy?

I use 1/8" closed cell foam. On my pickup I put black cloth on the bottom side since there is no headliner. Turned out well and gets a lot of compliments.
