Electrical question

What happens to the tail light bulbs if the stop light switch shorts out. Do they burn out or nothing happens to the bulbs. Reason for the question is I installed the LED tail light assembly. Do I fuse before the bulbs ? Tony

Nothing happens to the bulbs if the stop light switch shorts.

Re: Electrical question

But you will probably have a melt down in the feed wire to the switch, if that is not fuse protected.

Re: Electrical question

If the brake light switch shorts, the electricty takes a shortcut back to the battery before it reaches the lights.

If anything a fuse before a repro switch will help if you do not already have a fuse at the starter.
