Body work in Wisconsin Does anybody know of someone that can fix a dent on the side of my front fender?
I had a car back into the side of my fender and put a dent in it. the fender is still on my car (1930 Tudor) and I would like to have it fixed the right way, not just filled in with Bondo. So I'm looking for someone that can do "old fashioned" body work. I live in central Wisconsin and would like to stay somewhere within the state. |
Re: Body work in Wisconsin Look for a body shop that's been around a L O N G time. A restoration shop, or possibly a big truck body shop. FWIW

Re: Body work in Wisconsin Try Williams Auto Body in Green Bay. It's right near the stadium. Jim, one of their technicians does the restoration work. He was auto body technician of the year a few years ago. Really knows his stuff and will do it right. I worked there for a while and he was a wealth if knowledge.

Re: Body work in Wisconsin I would NOT send it to a body shop. It needs to go to a restoration shop that has the capability AND understanding of what they are working on. It would be interesting to see how the adjuster wrote the estimate. Did they write it to remove the fender? If so, do they know what is involved?

Re: Body work in Wisconsin You might try Gunner's Great Garage in Manawa, WI. If John Gunnell can't fix it, he probably knows someone who can.

Re: Body work in Wisconsin Do you have any pictures you can post to show how bad the damage is ??
