I love seeing Model A's (and AA's) still being used as they were intended!

The Dump Nazi always tells me to "leave it over there - No charge" (pointing somewhere to the left of the metal pile.")

He has a grin when he says it though.

After visiting our local 'Home Desperate' about 7 or 8 miles away with lumber to rebuild a couple raised planter boxes, I untied and de-red-flagged the lumber, started to offload and then remembered to take a photo.
My stock (save the seatbelts and right rear tail light) truck ran like new and was/is a joy to drive.
Every guy needs a truck!!
Now looking forward to finding another project for it to 'help' with.

Very nice to see the A's at work....

Just a friendly reminder to the truck owners running antique tags: check with you local Motor Vehicle authority and your insurer about any limitations of use with the antique tag.

Here in Moose-sylvania, if your truck wears an antique tag, you may NOT carry any cargo in the back. Not even a bag of peat-moss from Home Despot. Many guys do it, but legally the police can cite you for it. :(

Check your local listings... ;)

Not a problem in Kansas.

Not a problem for my pickup, its on full rego.
About 4 times the concessional rego but worth it.
I bought a 200litre drum of methanol home in it last week,227kgs, I wonder what the load carrying capacity was for them when new.

Lawrie,

I use my '30 ccpu just as your son did, but I added a trailer hitch and could get all of your loads in one trip in the trailer. Pulls good and I get a lot of looks and comments at the landfill.

Huge, I never thought of that,my A also has a trailer hitch as you call it,(we call it a tow bar),he could have towed a box trailer as well.
I know they tow well as we tow a camper all over Australia with the pickup.

Historic rego in NSW and I believe it is the same all over OZ allows loads to be carried .

Loads cannot be carried for commercial
purposes. Loads must either be the
private property of the vehicle owner and/or carried as part of a club event.

The maximum load allowed is two thirds
of the manufacturers load limit, and

At our landfill you must go over a scale when entering and leaving the dump. My truck with me and the Big Boss, trailer, and load of grass trimmings, bushes, and small limbs weighed 3960 pounds. It was about 500 pounds lighter on the way out. It might weigh less in your part of the globe since it would be upside down. :)
