Blue Ridge Tour Pictures

Update!!! As we have done in the past, the Sooner club members that made the Blue Ridge Tour are sending back and posting pictures almost daily. It's a great way to participate in the tour even if you couldn't go.

So far we have a blown head gasket and a cracked glass sediment bowl but our hardy travelers are having a great time.

Sooner Model A Blue Ridge Tour Photos Now over 400 pictures.

Thanks so much for the photo treat. Now we are so jealous and all nostalgic for hardwood forests, windy roads, limestone cliffs, and amazing water falls... not to mention... ROAD TRIP! Have a great time!

When the tour gets to Asheville, do you know what the name of the motel is where they will be staying? I might be able to visit with some Thursday and help with parts for breakdowns or such.

One more blown head gasket today, caused by a bad valve seat. Lots of hands and parts gathering and he is ready for Monticello tomorrow. At least it was running when we left , only needing the water pump to be put on. Lots of nice cars to look at.

Does your wife have a single sister that thinks the same?
She sounds like a keeper since she likes Model A adventure.:)

I hope to make the next one.

I think Randall Strickland said he had a water pump issue.

Sure! Light weight, fits easily under the seat...

why not?

I bought a car once from a guy who had a spare generator in the trunk. Now that's crazy! Why take up all that space and weight for something that seldom goes out?

Hey Brent
Thats Dean Armstrong,he said he and his buddy Leon was at the seminar you had a few years back when I was there, sure did enjoy it!,his buddy Leon Starrett was also there didn't know them at the time, long story short leon posted on FB if any one was going to the world meet in Dallas Tx he and Dean would like to have some company,I told him four Mdl A's were going and would meet him in Little Rock,we were almost to leon house when Tony Chambers left ft. wheel brg seized and welded its self to the spindle on I 40 in Little RockI had a chisel but my hammer wasn't big enough to cut the race,I called Leon and he and Dean brought a big hammer out to help us,it took over an hour to get the old brg off,Tony passed away back in Jan.he was always ready to go anywhere, just say when, we been on many tours and to Ca with him, anyway that started a friendship with these guys,Leon drove his 29 Dr Pepper pu out to see me a couple years ago with a teardrop camper he built,he was battling cancer at that time,he passed away about a year ago,I was glad to return the favor for Dean and his wife!

I received a text this afternoon from a customer saying they were having fun but the visibility has been anywhere from 20-60 foot because of the fog. Been a wet, soggy trip for some.
