A Short Driving Season

Sure looks like we are in for a short Model A driving season this year. Yesterday most of the snow was finally gone, then today we got 7 inches more and it's supposed to keep snowing for a few more days. Two minutes ago I had my Olds cleaned off for our club meeting tonight. It's our club tune up meeting in just 2 weeks, and not looking good weather wise.:mad::mad:

Up here in the so-called Great White North,we have had great model A weather for more than a month now.The US mid west & eastern seaboard seem to get terrible weather compared to us.

Things are finally looking good here in Alaska. Our first planned outing last week had to be cancelled due to snowfall earlier in that week. Hopefully the one we have planned for Saturday is still a go!

Just finished mine this fall and got about 25 miles on her before the snow fell...chomping at the bit to get out and drive.

It's going to be quite a while yet with about 3.5 feet on the ground...

Oh well.

Yes, I wish someone had called me about the cancellation before I drove to the school.
Oh well, it was a good excuse to go buy ice cream.:)

Speaking of picking tomatoes, I was wondering if I can grow some in pots inside the house, so I can have them year round?

Ya you could grow them in the house if you had some grow lights, if it's ever going to quit snowing I will try todo it outside like normal . In spring we grow them out on the dwck in big pot's if spring ever get's here.

How is it that a guy is under several feet of snow ...and still wants to eat ice cream:confused:

Fresh salad every day..crookneck/zucini/lettuce,radishes,etc....can ship overnight, as I feel bad that a barner HAS to eat ice cream vs veggies to stay healthy !

Tom,

E-Mail sent to cancel the club meeting.

Re: Ice Cream....had a bowl last night during the storm. Real men eat Ice Cream in the Winter.

Re: Minnesota...I'm taking a hard look at Cape Cod. This weather here is a real challenge to enjoy.

Northern Minn. 14 inches since my first post.

The deck was clear yesterday. I hate winter, especially when it's Spring!

When I was a kid, mom use to make "snow ice cream" out of fresh fallen snow.
