Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration Looks like a nice car to start with, I am curious is this the original paint and will it shine up some?
|
Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration It is original paint "maroon".

Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration Looks like a nice solid car David.

Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration David,
Any chance that you can see the orginal pinstripping? If so, please post a close up pic. Thanks. |
Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration Ahh, a nice 31 slant windshield town sedan. A great tour car.
|
Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration Nice to start with that much of the original car. Enjoy the journey.
|
Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration Just finished my '29. Surprisingly to me, the interior was one of the more fun parts of the resto.
Nice car. |

Thanks! |
Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration What are your plans with it David? Total frame off restoration?
|
Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration This will be a total frame off restoration

Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration Hi David, I hope you take thousands of pictures as you disassemble the car. I did not and regret it often. Many questions come up about these 160 B's and I wish I had a collection of pictures to share with the answer. Ed Saniewski

Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration Hey David, any progress on the car?
|
Re: 1931 Beginning Restoration What's fascinating to me is the pin striping and the two-tone paint scheme. It gives you good direction when you're ready to paint the car, if you wish to duplicate the original paint scheme.
Good luck. It looks like it will be a fun project. Rog |
