1931 Cabrolet question

I know the Cabriolet has a roll up window in the doors, does the window have a structural frame around it ? in other words when you roll down the window does it look exactly like a roadster or does the window frame stick out ?
thanks

It has a frame around the glass that goes down into the door with the glass like a hardtop - it's not a rigid frame like a convertible sedan.

There's a thin chrome plated frame that rises with the window. The bottom member of this frame does not show, and has the same type of slot for the window riser mechanism as the closed As. Here's what it looks like :

The whole thing is a rather complicated assembly
Left and right are different (mirror image). Two arm regulator fits to the base of the assembly
The bottom portion is similar to other slants but not Tudor coupe etc
I make those. If interested, [email protected]
If you have the lower part can save a lot of money; if not , pricy!

Pictures of my late 1930 68B. 31 could be 68B or 68C if slant windshield. Hope this helps some.

Hey Tom,

I think when I helped Dan lower his roof one time the roof also has two solid sections that butt up to the window frame of the door. The roof seals alot tighter than the roadster roofs.

You can see another good example at https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x8KbCnQVCkA
