Model B Fuel Pump Hi, is it possible to run the stock B fuel pump with any kind of full flow oil filter ?

Re: Model B Fuel Pump Am I correct that you see the two components as incompatible because they typically occupy the same physical space?
|
Re: Model B Fuel Pump My guess is no although you could probably install a remote filter kit. Or make your own like one member did on here. I think it was Al in NY?

Re: Model B Fuel Pump Maybe the Stipe adapter? Shows as out of stock, but you could call and see what the situation is.

Re: Model B Fuel Pump I have the Specialty Motor Cams Oil Filter Kit for B and run the stock B pump. It is very well made.

Re: Model B Fuel Pump I have two Stipe ( Specialty Motor Cams) Model B filter Kits.
Other manufacturers of filter kits make use of the unused fuel pump opening on side of B block to return the oil to the oil pan from an external mounted oil filter. In these cases you can not run a stock B fuel pump with this oil filter. |
Re: Model B Fuel Pump My remote full flow oil filter dumps the filtered oil into the valve chamber.

This is filter I spoke about in previous post for Model B which uses (that is covers up) the fuel pump "port" to mount filter. Looks maybe home brew. Also has bypass valve that dumps to timing cover. Filtered Pressure oil goes into stock Model B engine "oil Galley". |
Re: Model B Fuel Pump I would think that the side cover mounted filter should work on a B.
