window glass in a 1940 ford coupe

trying to replace a cracked glass on my 1940 ford deluxe coupe door. I have the garnish molding off, door and window handles off, the upholstery off, and don't know how to get the window out of the door. Hanging on the bottom stop. Need some tips on how to get the glass out.

Thanks,
Marshal Adams

Lower the unit with the regulator attached to the bottom of the door Remove the regulator, turn the glass 90 degrees and you can lift it out through the top.

I find it easier to R&R the glass from the bottom of the door. I've restored six, (seven?) coupes to date and have done each one that way.

Mike you are correct on the coupe. I was thinking the about the glass in a pickup for some reason.
