Lever shock I.D. 1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, I posted this on the HAMB expecting to get a quick answer, but no such luck, so I came here.
I have this lever shock that came with my Model T project. Does anyone know what it's from? I need one more. If you have one you'll let go of let me know. Thanks. |
Re: Lever shock I.D. I,m just working on a pile of 33/34 shocks,I have one that look like that except a straight lever arm,by my parts book its from a 37.
If you measure the length of the arm that may help ID it. Lawrie |
Re: Lever shock I.D. If the number "10" is stamped into the arm at the small reinforcement near the shock link, then the shock is 1940.

Re: Lever shock I.D. Good info,
thanks ,Lawrie |
Re: Lever shock I.D. Looks l ike 1940 / give arm #

The 1940 arm may very well be on an incorrect body. The one (body) depicted in the original post appears to be to large. |
Re: Lever shock I.D. A measurement center to center on the mounting holes will help too.

Re: Lever shock I.D. Time for a "wanted ad" with pictures. I can't make an exact id but late thirties early forties seems about right. Definitely not Model A or B. Maybe you could buy one from a rebuilder and pay the core charge?

Re: Lever shock I.D. 39 to 40 if the mounting holes are 4" on center. 41 to 48 mounting holes are 4-3/8 centers

Re: Lever shock I.D. I was gone for the weekend. Looks like they are the 39-40, and I found one.
Thanks for the info guys! |
