Springtime maintenance 1 Attachment(s)
Was able to get out and do some spring time maintenance. I gas primed the 38, but just pulled the choke on the 36 after 5 months of sitting.
Lube done. Diff checked. Tire air.... Only thing to check is the transmission oil level and an engine oil change. Be well! |
Re: Springtime maintenance how about the mini bike and stationary engine, those are next?

Dig that little Indian type pit bike. Fun to tool around from place to place. Started the 1927 1.5hp mccormick deering up for a few hours a couple weeks ago. Just let it bang out for a while and boil the water tank. All is well greased and oiled.... no need in changing it, just feed it, there are no lubrication tanks. Hope you are well Cas3. . |

Checked them also. Just a little top off. Added a little lucas as I'm out of straight steam cylinder oil. |
Re: Springtime maintenance all is well here tinker, no virus here yet, in fact when i go out for my daily sunset drive in one of my old wrecks there is no traffic at all. just like when i moved here in 77. i think i have that same IH motor, not running, but loose. its on the list, but quite far down. no more mini bikes, but a late model honda ruckus is for pestering the neighbors

Re: Springtime maintenance I have the same hp model but after deering left early on. 1940 IH, you see them at car shows making ice cream (technically a throttler)
1940s 1.5hp ih. Basically a one cylinder ohv motor. Coined, the iron pig, for obvious reasons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PFtVpFM37w . |
