Firewall accelerator assembly
 

On a 46 Ford flathead what is the easiest way to install the accelerator assembly that mounts on the firewall ? It is under tension.

We have to assume you are working on a 50 ford?

DD, it’s on a 46 Ford. The photo with the blue firewall looks like the setup I have.

Actually, both pics show the same type spring from two different angles. Sometimes, you just have to fight that spring with pliers to make it conform. DD
