226-6 Running Rich

226 H series 6 cyl. carburetor Have rebuilt the carb, set float etc. This engine wants to run rich whatever I do to resolve.

Any thoughts?

Set float lower. I had a 47 coupe with a G series 6 and fought that same battle. It fixed mine .
