Cylinder head ID ?

4 Attachment(s)
I took some pics of the cylinder head off my '28 before sending it to the machine shop.

How does one ID a stock head versus high-compression / aftermarket heads ? I did not find any obvious markings cast or stamped into the head.

Attached are some pics... gasket failed between # 3 & # 4.

Thanks,

SC Frank

A lot of original heads have a small trinagle on the top.

I think it is near the water outlet.

Looking at the shape of the combustion chamber, it looks stock.

You might want to post some pictures of the top of the head, especially pics of any casting marks.

Looks like stock compression to me. The High compression seem to have a more heart shaped chamber.
