41 headlight wires

Are the 41 headlight wires supposed to be attached anywhere or just left dangling?

Mine originally ran inside the crossmember in front, the small one that the "V" shaped mount for the front fenders bolts to. Don't remember how they were held in but that was 25 yrs ago!

In my '41 the wires from the headlight and parking light to the fender well are not supported. The wire harness has been replaced, but I see no way the original wires could be secured in that area. As you can see from the photo, my headlight wires have a split plastic shield for protection.

Sorry, I thought you meant left side to right side.

My headlight cables are not supported, but are sheathed for protection within the wheel well.

Re: 41 headlight wires

Some replacement wire looms include a ground wire, as most old vehicles no longe have a reliable ground thru the body or frame, and should be supported at the ends. We use good quality "zip" ties for attachment.
