A&L Parts Does anyone know if A&L parts specialties are still in business? I tried calling them, but no answer. I need a brake light switch!

Re: A&L Parts This is the info I have for them but be reminded they may be impacted by the upcoming New England Model A Meet next weekend.

Re: A&L Parts Talked to them yesterday. They are in business but like any small business they can be hard to reach at times. The quality is worth the trouble of contacting them.

Re: A&L Parts I’m lucky Our model A club and members live about a hours ride in a modern car. I personally go there 3 or 4 times a year. Great bunch of people. One Saturday afternoon they opened up to give our club a tour of their machine shop and the parts they make.

Give them some time to answer the phone, as it's a small operation and noisy in the shop - they may not hear the phone ring. Or contact Allen by email: [email protected] |
Re: A&L Parts Interesting, I called 860-693-0112 last week and Allen picked right up. I went right over after that and they are still very much in business. Great place.
I do agree, if they don't pick up try again. When I went over around 4:30 Allen was the only one there. |
Re: A&L Parts I never dealt with them before last week.I bought the $49.95 stop light switch a year ago from Bratton's and just recently installed it along with an all new wiring harness.Found it was defective and Bratton's was no help. It worked off okay, then braking lights would come on the go off on full pedal. I posted about this on Fordbarn and learned that Alan at A and L could help me and he did. No question he was surprised and sent me out a replacement for no charge.Got it the next day last week ,installed and it works great. Alan did not want the defective one back whichI thought mayby he would want to know why there was three positions instead of on/off or rather off/on. I took the defective one apart and what I saw was the round washer that moves along the copper strip seemed to be cut by the sharp edge of mounting hole for copper strip with just very few usage of the brake pedal. Material for this washer or spacer is some sorta plastic, not exactly Teflon almost look like old fashioned sinew, like clear plastic. I may be able to fix defective one but I will make a washer from Delrin or some other long wearing plastic material.Very happy with Alan and A and L service.
