2014 Ford Barn National Meetup
 

Hi Folks,

Please vote on a day that people would like to get together to meet up and put a face to a name. Keep in mind that a location will need to be found (dinner maybe) so a middle of the week to late in the week might be best.

I did this at the Vancouver event and met many nice Barners. If I can get enough responses I will contact the host club and see about a local venue. I will periodically revive the poll for those that don't catch it now, but may catch it in another month.

Mike , Trying to get some barn stickers done here ready for the meet , See FAST has pulled their meeting so this may be a free time , spending the next two weeks with FAST guru,s so will find out the reason & advise . Derek

I'm still awaiting Ryan's approval for a National Fordbarn Tour, as described in this thread below. I know we can get together without Ryan's approval, but wanted to include T-shirts and Fordbarn badges, if possible.

I assumed it would be on a Sat or Sun. Don't people work during the week?

Sorry about that. I thought people would be traveling on the weekends so I did not include them. Since people have already started to vote, I will keep tabs on this thread and add in the particular Sat. or Sun. to the mix manually. So if you would like to vote for one of those days please put it in the thread with a the date (i.e. Sat. 7/19).

O.k., I am at work today and doing some research for the meet up. It looks like within about 2 miles of the fairgrounds there is a mall with the usual type eateries or right across the street there is this: http://donsdrivein.net. Just putting this out there for lunch/dinner options.

I agree with Mark. I voted for Tuesday, but a weekend would be better. Not everyone is retired. Saturday seems best because places are open.

What I am proposing is while at the MAFCA national convention this July, as many Barners get together as possible. Say over lunch/dinner just to meet face to face and put a face to a screen name.

Glenn...Since I did not figure on people working during the day and MAFCA at night I did not include the weekends. So, lets open this up to Sunday 7-13 through Sat. 7-19. I assume people will be traveling On July 20th.

So far I am seeing 5 votes for Sat/Sun.

Kiwis here , any day will be fine, Looks like Fast holding a hill climb the day before the meet . So if you don,t belong to fast , DO SO & get the latest updates . Once official I will post here ,Derek in CA HEADING TO AZ in the morning.
