Not Just Any Old Shocks.
Although being some 89 years old and have had some minor use, these four shocks are in a new unworn condition. Resistance on all four is the same at 95% to 5%.
Pictures show the internal workings and one picture of the four on the workbench fully sealed. I have undertaken the restoration of Model 'A' Houdaille shock absorbers for about 49 years and have only seen two examples of shocks like these. These two were NOS and resistance was exactly as the four shown here 95% to 5%.
This would I feel be the last chance ever to obtain a set of four shock bodies like these. I seriously doubt if I will ever find any more. The price does not include arms or links, and these can be supplied if required, and would come from a USA parts supplier shipped to your door.
Model 'A' shocks are prone to weeping. These four shocks have been sitting on my workbench for around three weeks with no sign of weeping. That's not to say they won't at some stage in the future. I normally leave shocks for about two weeks and usually there are no problems.
Being 89 years old I cannot guarantee, sorry.
All questions answered.
Cheers,
RHD.
