Headliner 1930 Tudor top bow spacing

I am going to order a new headliner for my 1930 Tudor. Is the distance between the top wood bows standard for all the Tudors or can the spacing be different on any two cars? Some of the suppliers want to know the spacing when you order.

I ordered my complete interior set in person at LeBaron Bonney's location in Amesbury, MA on 5/3/95.

1930 STD Tudor 55-B
For the headliner I was required to submit my top bow measurements.
I was told there was 'no' universal fit for Model A 's.
I was given a very nice personal tour of the building.
Was very impressed with the quality.

FYI-total interior set was $1,115.00

When we sew the listing onto the headliner, we need to know the exact measurement. The thickness fore & aft of each roof bow might only be off by 0.060 of an inch thicker than original, but when you add up two of those, it can throw the headliner listing off by 1/8th inch. That is why we measure.

When I redid my interior last year I I had to call Classtique for advise on my bow spacing. They told me there is no "correct" way. During production there were several different spacings. As Brent mentions that's why your bow spacing is needed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
That is what I needed to know. So the headliner should be taken out first to get an accurate measurement. That probably has to be done by a local shop to make sure it is exact, eh?

RRW, you are in Bullhead, AZ but you were able to stop in the LB shop in Massassaechhts? Was the price of $1115 for the total interior? That sounds awful cheap. Did you actually get it in spite of the problems with the business closing?

Cool Hand Lurker.....
I bought my total complete interior in 1995, 24 years ago.
I had already stripped my interior and replaced all the top bows so the measurements were easy.

At that time I lived in N. Hollywood, CA and flew to Boston to visit my brother whom lived in Stow, MA, close to Amesbury.
I retired to Bullhead City but I vacate AZ in the heat of summer.
MN is one of my last stops prior to returning and I always go to the Auto Restorers Club of Southern Minnesota car show and swap meet in St. Peter. Sept. 15th this year.

Thanks, RRW. I didn't even catch the 1995 date in your post. I will use the excuse of being over 80.... ;)
That St. Peter Swap Meet is my favorite, only 30 miles from my town of New Ulm. Reasonable prices and country atmosphere plus I can understand the accent, much like "Fargo." I will try to find my "Fordbarn" hat to wear so you can recognize me.
