I used RUST 911 in mine. Flush you block with dish washing detergent before to get all the oil out of it.

The same people who make evaporust also have a product called thermocure, drain you radiator, add a bottle, fill to the top with water, and use it as coolant for a few days to month. Drain, flush/backflush a few times. Fill with water and run a few days and check, if still brown, repeat with thermocure. Once it tuns black, like with evaporust , the thermocure is spent.

Model As have a 3 gallon capaicity, 1 1/2 in the radiator, 1 1/2 in the hoses/block/head.

If you cannot get close to 3 gallons in you have a lot of rust/scale, or your radiator does not have the proper capacity.

Re: Coolant

May want to put a coolant filter in it to keep the crud from plugging the radiator, even a toe from an old pair of nylons in the top radiator hose will work.

Rust 911 dissolves all those chunks.
