A long trip from New York. Traveling weather before and after the event was perfect driving weather. Event weather was wet. Very nice tour Saturday morning and the Owl's Head Museum was a great place to exhibit our Model A's after the tour. The Saturday night dinner was terrible. Forty dollars for a "New England Buffet" of hamburgers and hot dogs was a lousy way to end a great Model A day!! Point Lookout should have been embarrassed serving us this food. I wasn't at the Friday night lobster buffet, but I heard they ran out of lobster. Thank God we decided the eat at the "Lobster Pound" restaurant, $120.00 better spent.

Have you ever served on a committee or run a meet? I have been involved with a couple and it is extremely difficult to find a venue that can accommodate all the needs of the meet. There will always be some things that are better at some meets than others but these people are VOLUNTEERS trying their best to display their area and plan a vacation for 200-300 people.

Had a lot of people surprised a 20 year old was driving a model a and knew so much. I showed my knowledge at the repair tent on Friday :)

We met Mike and his girlfriend working hard side by side with some more seasoned model A people to get a broken down car back running.
It is great to see these youngsters so active in our hobby.
Thanks for your dedication.

Don Jr, if you took second in the Commercial Class, who took first. We had a long drive back to NY(400 miles in a Model A PU) and couldn't stay for the awards.
Frank Miller, the food comment was directed at the Point Lookout resort, not the Pine Tree A's, they ran a great meet!!

My brother was there with 2 of his friends from the north country, and he got an award for his unrestored roadster. It has been repainted, so was not in the original class, but is an otherwise original car, with original interior. He said he was surprised and annoyed at the menu of the saturday night banquet. He said that is the last saturday banquet he will attend. Next year we will find a nice restaurant in which to have dinner.

The Pine Tree A's did a great job, and we had fun.
It is unfortunate the the Point Lookout Resort obviously has no experence with the food. Maybe someone quit and left them in a bind, I don't know. But the meals were very sad, very overpriced and poorly done.
The event was very nice, friendly, and the Club was an outstanding host. Putting on events like this are a huge, time consuming project. All in all we had a great time, met a lot of nice people, got to be in a parade.
I'm sure that the members of the club are glad it's over, and I thank them for a nice weekend, and all of their hard work.
