California roadtrip I'm heading to California the end of June for about a month, I'm puting the Harley in the back of my pickup and touring. The reason for the post is: I have seen over the years all the great photos of CA. swapmeets. Is there anything going on of interest to a Model A nut, swap-meets especially? I'll have the pickup to haul large Model A treasures. I'll be in the LA area until the 1st, San Jose next, and Gold Country after that -- but I'll go a long way for A parts (mostly late 31 Roadster, or?). Thanks in advance, E LaBrash

Re: California roadtrip I don't know when the date is but Sacramento has a swap meet that is supposed to be good. Gold country can be fun-I remember seeing a 31 S/W just sitting by the road for sale and going 'ooooooo...I want that'

Re: California roadtrip There is a swap meet put on by the Orange County Model T Club on June 25th(Sat), 6AM- 2PM, 1651 Valencia Ave, Placentia (714) 542-0905. It usually brings out a lot of Model A stuff. Then there is the MARC National meet in San Diego (Jun 27-Jul 1) [email protected] that has it's swap meet

Re: California roadtrip If you're coming west, you should defately attend the MARC National Meet in San Diego. Hit the Model T Swap Meet in Placentia on June 25th and then head south to San Diego for the MARC Meet. A good swap meet is expected there. Here is a link to the website where you can get all of the information you need, including a registration form and a link to the host hotel, the Town & Country. See you there. www.2011marcmeet

Re: California roadtrip I think we all dream of going to a California Swap Meet, they sure have had plenty of magazine coverage over the years. The LA Roadster Show and swap meet have been on my "Bucket List" for all the years I've had one. Some day I'll get there.

Re: California roadtrip I thought of another swapmeet, it is August 7th in Sacramento. It is called the Reno Swap Meet, as it started during Hot August nights, but they moved it to Sacramento about 4 years ago. It is huge!

Re: California roadtrip not a swapper, but a woodie car show on the wharf in Santa Cruz, sat June 25th. Appx 200 woodies, a fun show, no admission fee.

Re: California roadtrip You should also try to eat a meal at a Black Bear Diner. Great food and lots of them in CA's Central Valley.
