gearshift knob 1 Attachment(s)
I welcome comments from the old timers. During the restoration of my grandson's 1930 Tudor we found that the gearshift lever had an extension with a mushroom knob attached to a short extension. I know about mushroom gearshift knobs, but what is the story on the extension? The assembly appears to be era. Was this for extra tall people? I was able to unscrew the extension from the knob as it has an internal thread at each end. The knob itself has a short threaded stud inserted. It appears to be imbedded in the knob, not screwed in.

Re: gearshift knob Original mushroom knobs do not have edge serrations or ridges as yours does, must be aftermarket or somebody's special adoption. Original mushrooms also have a shorter underside curve, they are more "top heavy"
