1940/41 Pickup Cab Mounting I am going to be mounting my 1941 Ford Pickup cab to my frame. I have new wood blocks & new bolt kit for mounting. I am wondering if I should use frame welting or rubber pads between the frame & the blocks? I don't remember what was there when the cab was removed if it was welting, rubber pads, or both?

Re: 1940/41 Pickup Cab Mounting My original wood had a rubber pad between the wood and the frame. It was a belting type material about 1/8" thick. I found some at my local Orchard Supply Hardware store.

Re: 1940/41 Pickup Cab Mounting As TJ says there should be a rubber pad. You will find them sold in kit form in any of the restoration supplier's catalogue's.

Re: 1940/41 Pickup Cab Mounting Bob Drake sells rolls of the material.

Re: 1940/41 Pickup Cab Mounting my 41 also had rubber pads. I didn't put anything back and haven't noticed a problem. Been driving the truck for about a year and a half.
