Replacement Valve Covers for 292 I notice jobbers offer "sizes" when looking up 292 chrome valve covers. they reference 3 in and 4 in Chrome Valve Covers. do these sizers refer to the length of the studs from the edge/ledge of the head where the cover rests to the top of the threads? Some suppliers just list one part number. My exisiting valve covers are about 3.5 in tall. Thanks in advance

Re: Replacement Valve Covers for 292 I would think they offer differing heights, the taller being for a modified valve-train.

Re: Replacement Valve Covers for 292 probably the taller ones are to clear roller rocker arm setups

Re: Replacement Valve Covers for 292 The oem valve cover studs are available in 2 different lengths. The cast aluminum valve covers are taller than the stamped sheet metal ones.
