Starter- Generator Repair Shop

I have used these people to repair generators and starters for
about 40 years. They have the parts and test equiprment for the
old Ford starters and generators. They helped me make 7 six
volt alternators for some of my Fords. They got new alternetor
parts, only the parts I needed and I assembled them and took
them back for them to test. They are all still working good and
charge at idle. G.M.

Much appreciated. Parts are hard to come by " down under". I did manage a NOS armature for my Generator from ebay with a good price and shipping.
So that will get it done. 39 generator with pulley mounted fan.

Re: Starter- Generator Repair Shop

Starter and generator shops have mostly disappeared as rebuilt units are available at good parts places and reputable vendors for less than repair charges, without the wait and freight costs. For old Fords, places such as C&G offer rebuilts, as well as repairs if desired.

In Massachusetts we still have Boulanger's in New Bedford MA. They just redid my '40 starter for me. Not many of those guys left. I thank them every time I am there for hanging in there. They may be around for awhile as the son is working in the business with his dad.
