Original style & design lever shocks

One thing I do what to say here is as far as original style remanufactured shocks go I believe my design shocks are the only ones that have a reservoir that you can add and check the oil. The reservoir is needed to allow the oil to recirculate through the air bleed designed into each wing chamber, with out this you can develop a small air pocket and the shock lever will move freely for several degrees of movement. this makes the shock useless for keeping the car stable. the same thing with a tube shocks if you have free movement or play in the action the car will not be stable.
So when your considering spending the money for the original style shocks keep that in mine you should get what you paid for with you're hard earned money.
If anyone is still interested, Stipe Machine is still making new shocks, both my sons bought the shop this spring from me.
Thank all of you for your years of support, I know my sons will continue in my foot steps of building quality products.

Bill
I have a new set of your shocks that I have not installed yet.
Do I just take them out of the box and install them, or do I need to use a lever and weight on the bench to adjust them first?
Thanks for providing a good quality shock for the hobby. :)

Hey Bill and I correct that your shocks are so correct that the original cover (in perfect condition) can be used?

Bill, I have had a set of your shocks on my Town Sedan for a little over 2 years now and they are working great with no signs of seepage. I have never had to add oil. If I do ever have to add oil, what type/weight oil do you recommend? And specific brand? Thanks.

Bill, I have a set of your shocks as well. Best investment I've made in years. Installed three years ago and no leaks, flawless action in both direction and make the handling of my Tudor a pleasure to drive.

The oil we use is Schaeffer's 264 Moly pure syn. Hydraulic oil ISO 150 which is about a 30 weight oil. Sorry I don't get on the Forums much anymore if anyone wants to get a hold of me you can email me at [email protected] for a little while yet then that one will be dead Before August I believe. I think my new email will be [email protected] but don't quote me on that yet.

You can call Stipe Machine at 920-467-2895 we do not have any dealers just not enough mark up in them for dealers.
My son Tony is taking over all the machining & Mfg and my other son Dieter is along side him doing more of the fabricating and some very cool metal art work including metal car art work they are working on a new website hopefully this summer or sooner.

Hi John. I think you are referring to the steering damper. It was on the car when I bought it. I have driven the car with and without it and I prefer how it steers with it on.

I know some on here have stated in the past that a damper is a bandaid for other problems but I didn't notice any problems without it. I just like it with on rough roads
