Hershey Weather forecast It looks pretty decent next week, mid to upper 60's showers Wednesday, sunny Thurs.-Fri and showers again Saturday but sounds like most people are packed up and gone by Friday anyway.
Have a good time let's see pictures and get a report from those that made it. |
Re: Hershey Weather forecast I started checking the forecast yesterday. It has already changed twice.
I still check it a few times a day though. Less than a week at this point! -Tim |
Re: Hershey Weather forecast Looks like the sort of low temp sunny day where you think the weather is perfect. Then you get the crap burned out of you walking around all day with no hat or sunscreen. Been there done that.....LOL

Re: Hershey Weather forecast Seems a bit far out to predict, record temps in the area today, supposed to be low 90's, but then cooling off tomorrow. I always go on Fridays, doesn't seem to me that anyone is leaving then! Late Saturday or early Sunday maybe. As long as theres not a deluge.

Re: Hershey Weather forecast 77Birdman, arrive on Thursday and you will be amazed at how many more vendors there are.
I stayed on Friday once (of the two times I drove from Montana to sell things). Money-wise it was my best day of that year. My theory was that there were less vendors but new buyers with new money. I've been watching the weather forecast for a couple weeks now. I think that it will be a great week of weather. Hopefully the forecast of "Tuesday morning showers followed by four days of mid 60's and mostly sunny" will be correct. |
Re: Hershey Weather forecast Looking forward to it. Any tips for a new visitor? Been doing the Carlisle thing for decades.

Re: Hershey Weather forecast Buy one of the programs. They used to be about $5 and might still be. Take a few minutes to get a strategy using the maps/vendor list in it. Save the car corral for later if you're there to buy parts.

Re: Hershey Weather forecast I see that a lot of people the first advice they give is "buy the program". This is my 11th year and I've never bought one.
If you're limiting yourself to those people who list "Model A" parts in their entry you're going to miss out on A LOT. If you're interested in visiting a specific vendor nows the time to contact them and say "where is your spot"? The maps are available online at the AACA website. -Tim |
Re: Hershey Weather forecast As Tim said, call ahead to vendors sounds like a good idea. And if you are buying a set of tires or something bulky they could bring them to the Meet and hand them over save on shipping.

Re: Hershey Weather forecast Wander aimlessly, talk to everybody, look at everything. Surprising what you will find that you didn't even know you needed and what you will learn about things you didn't even know that you were interested in.. Seriously, I always have a want list, pre-order some stuff and make it a point to visit a few specific vendors. Most importantly, don't treat it like a job and have fun.

Re: Hershey Weather forecast It has been very dry around here and we could use some rain. I don't want it to rain on Hershey, but some rain before and after is fine with me.

Re: Hershey Weather forecast Here is the link to the maps for those who may be interested.

Re: Hershey Weather forecast I'm leaving Thursday morning for Hershey. It's going down to 40 Friday night!

Re: Hershey Weather forecast I have been many, many times and have never bought a program. The one time I wish I had I was looking for 'Old Cars Magazine' to renew and after several wild goose chases never found them. I am the wandering aimlessly person, with no clue. However I have been there enough that I have a pretty good idea of what is where. Seems the vendors set up in the same spots every year. My cars are from the 70's so I really dont go there with expectations of buying anything, I usually end up with literature or an odd license plate. I also love to walk through the car corral. I agree if you are planning on a purchase from a known vendor to place your order for pickup at the field and save on shipping. I also go to Carlisle every spring and its pretty much a different vibe than Hershey. Although a lot of the vendors with tool junk and such are there as well. If you have a chance take a look at the AACA museum. Its only a mile or two away from the show fields, you will most likely be closer to it from the parking fields.
