Passenger Seat Back

Under moderate braking the passenger seat back folds forward on my 31 Tudor. Should there be some type of return spring or friction devise at the seat hinge point to prevent this ? Not a big problem, just annoying.

That is annoying to me also driving my 30 Tudor. Also would like to hear of a easy solution besides not braking..No spring or friction device was originally used as far as I know.

Well...Down and dirty would be to pull the pivot pins and wrap the shaft with duct tape or old fashion friction tape. Granted you may have to redo this farmer fix now and then but no harm no foul. Not sure about knurling the shaft but it's worth a thought.

Just leave it folded down until needed up.
