Lever arm shock bushes
 

Been under my jailbar truck tonight looking to reduce rattles and bangs!!
It has original type lever arm shocks, they are working well and have plenty of resistance in them. The rubber bushes on the arms that connect shocks to the axle need replacement and the ball joint rods st the front are shot. Are these parts available?

Try mac's. Most ford parts houses have different length shock links

I'm seeing ones for cars but not trucks.

Ian to my knowledge nobody has reproduced the 42-47 truck shock links. The rubber ball bushings are not designed to be replaceable in the link itself. You will likely have to find them in NOS.

Oh, is there supposed to be a rubber bushing in there? No wonder it rattles about then

I would be at ground zero & restarting with my old note's.

I think I will be able to find some bushes for the rear, not sure what to do about the fronts tho. Shame as all 4 shocks are in good working order
