Engine pan bolts fasteners

Do the engine splash pan bolts to frame have lock washers, square nuts and cotter pins in December 28. When did Ford eliminate the cotter pins?

My early 1929 has them. I hope this helps.

You should have 1/4"-28 hex head bolts with cotter holes, square nuts, and cotter pins, all unfinished with no lock washers.

From page 1-7 revised 2011 of the Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards

“The pans are attached to the frame with 1/4 - 28 hex head bolts. The bolts were unfinished until mid-1930, black enamel until mid-1931 and raven finished thereafter. Unfinished cotter pins were used until mid-1929 and then changed to unfinished lock washers. The square nuts were unfinished throughout production."
