Looking for rare welt tips

1 Attachment(s)
We are in the final stages of restoring a 1930 Cabriolet. The upholstery shop pointed out that we are short the special welt or binding tips that are used at the triple hinge. The attached photo shows the right and left tips that were used for this application. I haven't been able to locate these tips in any of the parts catalogs. I have reached out to MAFCA and the Cabriolet Club. If you have any leads for me to look into, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Looking for rare welt tips

Just how many folks need these or would buy a full set?
I've considered making them but just haven't gotten to it.
I need several sets myself so it is inevitable but thinking of a timeline

Re: Looking for rare welt tips

Since it takes two of each, right hand and left hand tips, what is being called a set. I would think it would be 4 tips so you could do both sides?

Didn't your previous post on this topic get closed because of a repeated use of "btt"?

Re: Looking for rare welt tips

For those who may have missed this thread but are be interested in having a set of these tips. That is if we have enough folks interested to make it worth while.
Steve Sturim is trying to locate the dies Bob Anderson used to have these tips made.

Re: Looking for rare welt tips

I think that we've spoken before, but I would be interested in having a set of these (possibly two sets in the event that one might get damaged in the installation of a new top). If you might be able to get these dies from Bob, please let me know, and also what kind of deposit/purchase price you might need to get started.

Thanks again -

Re: Looking for rare welt tips

Gary Johnson already spent a lot of time seeking the old dies to no avail.
It would be fantastic as there are 4 different patterns (profiles) so not an easy task
