37 truck dashboard question

I have a 37 pickup ½ ton. There is a dashboard trim piece the length of the dash that goes over the windshield gear assembly. The trim piece has holes in it (does not look threaded) and the windshield frame has holes that align with the trim piece. Does anyone know how these holes where attached together? No room for a small bolt and nut setup. I don’t want to use a sheet metal screw because that seems like a bad way to connect the holes. Also if you’re familiar what I have, is there some type of gasket that goes between the trim piece and the windshield frame? FYI, I think the 35 and 36 trucks had the same setup. Thanks Tom

Re: 37 truck dashboard question

Yes 1935 1936 are the same.
You will need 12 #10 x 1/2" sheet metal pan head screws finished in S2 (raven) finish.
You will also need 12 13/64" fiber washers under the heads of the screws.
I used friction tape (1" wide) along the inside edges of the dash rail (correct term for the part).
This is the same whether it is a 112" 131" or 157" wheelbase commercial vehicle.

(I thank Mr Rogers for this information)
