Ignition key codes
 

In my box of ignition parts I have an original lock and key with the code
of "FB". I am pretty certain that it is an original 1932 lock.
I also have some keys coded "FD" and "FH".

Is "FB" correct for 1932 ? How about the "FD and "FH" ?

32phil is the go to guy on the Ford Barn for Ford lock & key questions. I think the key code is on the door lock cylinder if I remember correctly.

The FB key code is indeed correct for 1932 and in some cases was used in 1933-34 as was FC.
The FD is correct for 1935
The FH is correct for 1936

If the dimensional specs of the locks are the same, they can be used interchangeably.
