This. ^^^ Mine had the spring touching the body of the distributor and grounding the coil. Bending the spring fixed that,and all was well again.
A simple test light on the distributor side of the coil should flash on and off as the engine is cranked with key on. If it doesn't,see what's wrong in the distributor.
