modelawiperss

Hey Guys,

Who's got a lead on Troy Burkart. After ordering an Owen Dyneto motor a couple of weeks ago I did not hear anything. He doesn't answer the Phone, nor e-mail.

Re: modelawiperss

Henk, a little more information might help. Where is he located? Does he have a web site? A business name? How did you find him? Is it a business or just a guy in a garage? If you paid him anything, was it by credit card? If it was, you can get that back through your CC company.

I think he's in Stockton, Ca.

Re: modelawiperss

Isn't he the one that took over Mick's business? He is in Cali., there has been lots of bad weather in the state, maybe he has been affected. I'm pretty sure you'll hear from him, give him a little more time. Someone here has probably dealt with him recently.

I have tried calling and sending email as well. Maybe he has pulled the plug on his business. It's too bad, seems there there would be a good market for a good product. Perhaps he will sell it so someone that will take it serious.

Troy will respond - just been a little under the weather lately.

We have been trying to buy wiper parts from him for the last 4 months. No luck, so please let me know if he calls you back.

Re: modelawiperss

I tried getting ahold of him shortly after he took over for Mick. Never heard from him. Thought it was just the stress and such getting things set up. Needed to get operating shafts and levers. Alot happened shortly after that and never tried again. Rod

Re: modelawiperss

Hey Guys,

Thank you for helping out here. In spite of this I still did not manage to get a hold of Troy. Payed money, no product.

A little patience ... but not much longer.

Guys,

Stil nothing from Troy on the wiper issues. Doesn't answer Phone nor e-mail. Opened a dispute with PayPal now.

I also suggest you get in touch with the Attorney General for that state.

Sad to hear all this bad press - I was planning on purchasing a new wiper from that website a few months ago, now it looks like my procrastination saved me from this headache...

Guys,

Finally managed to contact Troy. Happy with the deal we made. Looks like I will get the wiper motor I so desperately need.

Troy responded early december 2014. Seems to be dead again. Does not deliver up to his promesis. I am truly amazed about modelawipers.com. This is a warning to all of you.

You might want to contact Doug Clayton in one of the upper posts (#7). This is not the first time this has happened...Seems like there have been other post on this very same subject. Is he or is he not helping the hobby out?

I mean it has been almost a year now that HAZELHOF has waited for his wiper...Hmmmmmm.

Re: modelawiperss

I am really wishing someone else would have bought the business as he does not seem to be very service oriented. Would be a nice side business for someone. I would be interested but lack the funds and the shop space to buy all that Mick sold with the business as discribed by Mick when I talked to him. Rod
