Fords and flood

7 Attachment(s)
The town I live in, Walla Walla, WA had a big flood in 1931. I have gone through a web site and taken some of the photos of cars in the flood. Here are some of those photos. The web site is hosted by a local historian named Joe Drazan and that web site is:

Not all cars are Fords, of course, but they seem to be pretty popular back then. Some image links posted directly.

I wonder what the guy with the '29 coupe was trying to work on, ankle deep in rushing water.

I guess it has been that way for many years!

BTW, Steve Plucker and maybe some others here may recognize some of the cars in the second link, which is here too (Scroll past opening picture)

Fords and Floods ??????

POR 15 manufacturers heard of someone boasting that his Model A survived weeks of the salt water inundation of Hurricane Katrina so POR 15 posted same on line.

POR 15 is the way to go.

Yes we had streets around here in the day that were the same level as dry run creeks. Lots of fun to have Grandpa drive through the water to get home. Nice pics.

If you like to watch Model A's and other vintage cars going swimming, go to You Tube and type in the search Irishmans Rally. Enjoy. Happy motoring.
