36 radiator wrong outlets Tried to install new 900 dollar rad in my stock 36. Rad top outlets point straight back, not down. About 45 degrees off. Any made up hose will need an over 90 degree bend. (about 110 degree) Any ideas? I think they sent me a wrong radiator.

Re: 36 radiator wrong outlets Call them and see if they will pay the shipping to get the correct part. Let us know how you were treated. Don't cut anything or you will void the warrantee and make the part non returnable.

Re: 36 radiator wrong outlets as a last resort, go to your muffler shop and have them bend some stainless steel exhaust pipe, use some gas welding rod to get the proper bend and give it the shop, they can use it as a pattern, then all you need is a shot piece of rad hose to connect the bend to the rad outlet, you can have the pipe bent long enough to eliminate the rad hose all together except short pieces to hook up rad and engine outlets

Re: 36 radiator wrong outlets For $900 i would say they screwed up.My recore was $600 and they had to fabricate a new bottom of the top tank.Fit perfect. Have them make it rite. ken ct. omo.

Re: 36 radiator wrong outlets Sounds like you got a 37 radiator.

Re: 36 radiator wrong outlets It sounds like they made it up for a 59a. A friend of mine just put one like that in a 36 5 window and he got a Walker Radiator made that way for the later engine. Most of these aftermarket radiators are built to order and somebody may have misunderstood what you wanted or even failed to ask you.

Re: 36 radiator wrong outlets Thanks for the good advice. The company will pick it up UPS and install a new tank w/ correct outlets.
